The preview, clip, and stills from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 13 show that Team Coulson is in for a less-than-tranquil trip aboard an Italian train.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 13 will bring the series chugging back from its recent three-week hiatus. The episode, titled “T.R.A.C.K.S.,” looks like it will be jam-packed with action, suspense, and guest stars when it airs on Feb. 4.
The official synopsis for “T.R.A.C.K.S.” is succinct in its description of the upcoming episode.
Hot on the trail of the Clairvoyant, Coulson and his team board a mystery train that seems to be headed for certain death.
The preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 13 picks up on the theme of imminent danger, while hinting that the episode will have its moments of humor as well.
In addition to offering a glimpse at the upcoming cameo from Marvel man-of-the-century Stan Lee (Lee has confessed to having “a big role” in “T.R.A.C.K.S.”) the preview certainly makes it clear that the stakes are high for Team Coulson.
It’s also rather nice to see Agent Ward decked out in a crisp conductor uniform, which he fills out quite handsomely.
In the clip, Ward is forced to fight a woman who pretends to be a hapless passenger, and her fellow henchmen. Though he manages to subdue them, Ward and Coulson are forced to make an emergency landing off of the train when more bad guys arrive.
Also, Ward speaks Italian, and that’s quite sexy.
The stills released from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 13 don’t include much Italian (though the keen-eyed may spot some) but they do indicate what Simmons, Fitz, and Skye will be up to as the lush scenery rolls past.
Hint: Fitz and Skye will probably not be doing much appreciation of the scenery. And since rumor has it that J. August Richards will don the mantle of Deathlok in this episode, the rest of the team might want to take in the sights while they still have the time.
