The episode title and synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 11 have been released, promising to take viewers to a “magical place.”
Though fans will have to wait another two weeks for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 11 to air, ABC has released the exciting title and synopsis of the upcoming episode. The episode, titled “The Magical Place,” is highly anticipated both because it marks the end of the winter hiatus, and due to the information about Agent Coulson that it will allegedly divulge.
According to the synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 11, “Secrets and lies are revealed as the team sets out to rescue Coulson.” Stuck in the clutches of the super-soldier-seeking organization Centipede, Agent Coulson is clearly in danger – but is also closer than ever to learning what became of him after his fatal stabbing by Loki in The Avengers.
The synopsis says:
Coulson uncovers vital information about the mystery of his death, but, with Centipede out for blood, this knowledge may come at the cost of one of the team.
The episode title, “The Magical Place,” obviously refers to the strange tic which Coulson has exhibited through this first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. After (allegedly) being sent to Tahiti to recover, Coulson has frequently seemed compelled to refer to the island as “a magical place.” Feeling uneasy in his own body, Coulson has also questioned the details of his convalescence – but found the reports of the incident restricted to him by the higher-ups at S.H.I.E.L.D.
Meanwhile, the agents of Team Coulson will have their hands full trying to rescue their fearless leader. As the preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 11 indicates, Agent Victoria Hand (Saffron Burrows) will return to apparently try and knock some bureaucratic sense into the group… but clearly the team has no interest in getting sensible while Agent Coulson is missing.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 11 “The Magical Place,” will air on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
