Familiar faces running the gamut of good and evil take center stage in stills from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 10.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 10 will air next week after a one-week hiatus, and it looks like the upcoming hour will pack plenty of punch. The episode, titled “The Bridge,” will bring Agent Coulson and his team into direct conflict with the shadowy organization called Centipede, and will feature the return of J. August Richards in the role of Mike Peterson.
Still photos from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 10 put most of their focus on Peterson’s interactions with Couslon, and another returning character who wears a flowery dress and a (metaphorical) black hat. Ruth Negga will reprise her role as Raina, an even-keeled operative for Centipede who was first introduced in “The Girl In The Flower Dress.”

The other members of Agent Coulson’s team appear to be somewhat sidelined in the stills from “The Bridge,” but it’s very interesting to note the inclusion of Raina’s presumably evil compatriot who briefly appeared in episode 5. The character, who is called Edison Po by the episode synopsis, was seen talking to Raina about Centipede’s mission while incarcerated. Evidently that small inconvenience has been resolved, though the how and why of his escape remains a mystery.
The official summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 10 says nothing on the matter of Mr. Po, but it does promise plenty of excitement ahead.
In a shocking cliffhanger episode, Coulson takes the war back to Centipede, and this time he brings in Mike Peterson for some super-soldier support. As they get closer to the truth, startling secrets are revealed and an unexpected twist threatens the team.
Similarly, the preview for “The Bridge” makes it clear that Coulson will mean business next week – and that fans should not necessarily expect a happy ending before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. breaks for the holiday season.
