Five new clips have been revealed from the series premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., focusing on Agent Coulson’s as he assembles his team.

As the series premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. draws closer, ABC has released five new clips from the pilot episode. Each clip features the often recalcitrant recruitment of the eclectic members of Agent Coulson’s new team.

The first clip shows us the indomitable Agent Coulson storming Fort May (Ming-Na Wen).

Driving the bus seems simple enough. What could go wrong?

The second clip shows the recruitment of the dashingly prickly Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) who just wants to play with bombs by himself in his room.

Say hello to Maria Hill, everybody.

Next up is the introduction of the least-likely member of this unlikely team: Skye (Chloe Bennet), computer-hacker par excellence, member of the Rising Tide, and dweller in vans.

(Not everyone gets the VIP treatment.)

In the following clip, Agent Ward thinks he knows everything.

Geez, Ward! She’s flying the plane! Don’t make things complicated, that’s Agent Coulson’s job.

And finally, Agent Ward is introduced to “Fitz-Simmons,” (Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge) the international (and adorable) arm of Coulson’s crew.

Don’t mix up the engineering and bio-chem, Ward! Dang.

The pilot episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will complete the union of this motley team and kickoff what will hopefully be an exciting season of suits, snark, and superheroes. The official episode summary for the pilot says:

In the premiere episode, “Pilot,” it’s just after the battle of New York, and now that the existence of super heroes and aliens has become public knowledge, the world is trying to come to grips with this new reality. Agent Phil Coulson is back in action and has his eye on a mysterious group called The Rising Tide. In order to track this unseen, unknown enemy, he has assembled a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division). The group’s first assignment together as a team finds them trying to track down an ordinary man who has gained extraordinary powers. Powers that could have devastating consequences.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Sept. 24 at 8:00 pm on ABC.
