Agent Coulson and his plucky team demonstrate the difficulty of a poker-face in the blooper reel for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may have started out lighthearted, but the story quickly advanced to darker subjects. Between Agent Coulson’s mysterious resurrection, Agent Ward’s betrayal, and the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D., laughs became a lot harder to come by as the true arc of season 1 slowly stepped into the light.

But the opposite appears to be true for the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who unveil their true goofy nature in a gag reel screened at San Diego Comic-Con, and recently released online.

From Charlie’s Angels references and set mishaps to random acts of dancing, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. blooper reel makes it clear that the cast knows how to have a good time – even when their characters are not. It’s hard to pick a favorite goof, but we’re definitely leaning toward the ‘fly-in-the-van’ thing.

Seriously, it’s an instant classic.

The blooper reel will be included on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1 DVD and Blu-ray releases. The box sets will also include episode commentaries, behind-the-scenes “Field Reports,” deleted scenes, and VFX breakdowns.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1 will be available for purchase on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 9.
