Peggy Carter is off to the West Coast in the first Agent Carter season 2 preview — and she’s still kicking a tremendous amount of ass.

Our first look at Agent Carter season 2 arrived during tonight’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., featuring Peggy interacting with characters new and old in a sun-drenched city very far from home.

The preview plunks Peggy smack in the middle of Hollywood, complete with lights, cameras, and “action” of the more metaphorical sort. Agent Carter is still as rough-and-tumble as ever, but manages to look perpetually fabulous while making points with both her words and her fists.

Jarvis (James D’Arcy) returns to action in the Agent Carter season 2 preview, as does Enver Gjokaj’s Agent Sousa. The main new face is that of Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), a scientist who clearly makes a few sparks with the indomitable English agent.

“Are you going to punch all of L.A.?” he asks her in (we think admiring) disbelief.

“I could do with a hobby,” Peggy quips.

Oh, Margaret. We really have missed you.

Agent Carter season 2 will premiere with a two-hour episode on Jan. 5. The second season will feature the return of Chad Michael Murray as Jack Thompson, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, and Bridget Reagan as Dottie Underwood. Wynn Everett joins the cast as actress Whitney Frost (a.k.a., Madam Masque) and Lotte Verbeek will play the heretofore unseen Ana Jarvis.

“Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet,” ABC says of season 2.

“But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”

Agent Carter season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
