Peggy faces the music, which will apparently sound like a very loud explosion, when Agent Carter season 1, episode 7 airs tonight.
The episode, titled “Snafu,” may be the nadir for our fabulous Agent Carter.
“Peggy is cornered and more vulnerable than ever as Leviathan makes their move against her,” ABC says. “As the S.S.R. zeroes in on Howard Stark, they may pay the ultimate price as they find their true enemy is closer than they realized.”
That “true enemy” – or one of them, at least – revealed himself on last week’s episode of Agent Carter. Far from an innocent Russian psychologist, Dr. Ivchenko turned out to be a mole who is hypnotizing half of the S.S.R. – including Chief Dooley. Meanwhile, Sousa totally cracked Peggy’s cover, but he and Thompson only managed to apprehend Agent Carter when Dottie spent a few seconds too long trying to kill her.
Now Peggy is stuck at headquarters, ready to be interrogated by her former friends and partners.
The promo for Agent Carter season 1, episode 7 suggests that the interrogation goes… well, about as smoothly as you might expect.
It goes “boom,” is what we’re saying.
But a sneak peek from “Snafu” promises that there’s at least one bright spot, in the form of our favorite accidental ray-of-sunshine, Edwin Jarvis.
Judging by the still photos from Agent Carter season 1, episode 7, Jarvis will continue to stick around while the good times hit the fan at the S.S.R.
That’s code for “Chief Dooley appears to let the situation get entirely out of hand.”
