Still photos from the Agent Carter premiere focus on Peggy’s snazzy surroundings – with a hint of Howard Stark.
Though the bumper-crop of stills includes relatively few images of Peggy herself, it’s easy to tell that the Agent Carter premiere will be quite a swanky event. In the images, Peggy rocks the blonde look on what is presumably an undercover mission, while Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) sets off on a boat, and Agent Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) packs some unsubtle heat.
It may be wintertime, but we’re fanning ourselves already.
We also confess to being curious about the identity of that mysterious man with the mustache, who seems quite keen on accomplishing… something. He could just fancy a dance with Peggy, of course, but somehow we doubt that.
The Agent Carter premiere will comprise the first two episodes of the eight-episode miniseries. Of the first episode, ABC says that “When old acquaintance Howard Stark finds himself being framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons to anyone willing to pony up the cash, he contacts Peggy – the only person he can trust – to track down those responsible, dispose of the weapons and clear his name.”
In typical Stark fashion, “he empowers his butler, Edwin Jarvis, to be at her beck and call when needed to help assist her as she investigates and tracks down those responsible for selling these weapons of mass destruction. If caught going on these secret missions for Stark, Peggy could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison – or worse.”
Episode 2, titled “Bridge and Tunnel,” will bring Peggy into closer contact with Agent Thompson and her boss at the S.S.R.
“Howard Stark’s deadliest weapon has fallen into enemy hands, and only Agent Carter can recover it,” ABC says. “But can she do so before her undercover mission is discovered by SSR Chief Dooley and Agent Thompson?”
The two-hour Agent Carter premier airs on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
