Adele leads the pack as a finalist in 18 categories for this year’s Billboard Music Awards, closely followed by LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne.
As Billboard reports, LMFAO is a finalist in 17 award categories, Rihanna in 13, while Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne are tied with 10 categories. They will all square off for the Top Artist award along with Katy Perry. Check out the full list of nominated artists at Billboard.
“The awards will reflect Billboard’s chart rankings based on key fan interactions with music, including album sales and downloads, track downloads, radio airplay and touring as well as streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, Youtube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music.”
The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from Las Vegas May 20 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
