Original story: Adele appears to be releasing her highly anticipated third album soon! In this lengthy Twitter post, the British singer apologizes for the delay, and explains that 25 will be about “making up with myself.”

25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising,” Adele writes. “And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happens.”

During this week’s X-Factor, a 30-second ad break teased what appears to be a song off the new album:

Over a black screen and simple piano chords, Adele sings the following lyrics:

“Hello, it’s me / I was wondering if, after all these years / you’d like to meet, to go over everything / they say that time’s supposed to heal ya / but I ain’t done much healing …”

Although nothing’s been confirmed yet, rumor has it that Adele’s new album will hit on November 20. That’d be good timing, with the Christmas charts coming up.

The singer’s debut album 19 was released in 2008, with 21 following in 2011. Adele’s sophomore album included such hits as “Rolling in the Deep” and “Set Fire to the Rain,” and topped the charts in more than 30 countries. Furthermore, it is the best-selling British record of the 21st century.

We know nothing about the new songs, but according to The Guardian, she’s collaborated with big-name musicians and producers like Danger Mouse, Tobias Jesso Jr., Damon Albarn, Max Martin, and Ryan Tedder.

We can’t wait to hear Adele sing about the latest chapter in her tumultuous life!
