How does Adele’s new song “Skyfall,” written for the November James Bond film of the same name, look when it’s included in a new trailer featuring Daniel Craig?

In one word: Perfect.

Sony released a new trailer yesterday featuring Adele’s song carrying the footage, and we’re enjoying it a lot. Overall, fans of Adele and the James Bond franchise have been very receptive towards the single. The song was co-written by Paul Epworth, a songwriter and producer who has previously worked with Florence and the Machine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Foster the People and Adele. Adele describes recording the strings for the songs as “one of the proudest moments” of her life. “I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure!”

In related news, a new Skyfall TV spot began airing in the United States yesterday and is now available online. It doesn’t include much new footage but emphasizes that “Bond is back.”

Skyfall hits theaters November 9, and we’ll continue to cover the highly-anticipated film as we approach its release.
