After a sequel to cult comedy classic Anchorman was announced last month, the world has been eagerly awaiting any detail of Ron Burgundy’s second outing. Now, director Adam McKay has teased some of the sequel’s plot details.

In a new interview, McKay spoke to Salon about the relevance of the original film today, how newscasters have become more and more like Burgundy, and – most excitingly – a little of what we can expect from the sequel.

“I don’t want to give away too much, but I’ll just give a couple pieces of ideas that we’ve kicked around. Keep in mind we’re still writing the story, but I’ll say one phrase for you: custody battle. I’ll give you that. I’ll give you one other one: bowling for dollars.”

Certainly sounds exciting! What do you expect from the long-awaited sequel?
