Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will host Saturday Night Live later this month.

Though some may be expecting him to pull double duty and be the musical guest as well, Adam will be doing the solo gig of hosting this time around, according to THR. He will host Saturday Night Live on January 26th with the musical guest being Kendrick Lamar.

This isn’t The Voice coach’s first appearance on Saturday Night Live, however. He appeared in Andy Samberg’s digital short “Iran So Far Away” a few years ago and has performed as part of Maroon 5 several times throughout the years.

Kendrick Lamar’s album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard hip hop chart and No.2 on the Billboard 200 charts back in October.

It was announced recently that Silver Linings Playbook and The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence will helm the return of Saturday Night Live in 2013 when she hosts in just a few weeks on on January 19th.

Are you excited to see Adam Levine hosting Saturday Night Live later this month? His personality really shines through on The Voice so we think it’s a perfect fit for him to wear his hosting hat. Hopefully, Adam can replace the musician-turned-host duties that Justin Timberlake was taking over for a few years.
