The clock has run out for Time After Time, which has been pulled from the schedule after only a few episodes.

Variety reports that ABC’s decision to pull the time travel drama means “effectively canceling” the new series.

Time After Time was the latest of several time travel dramas (notably Timeless and Legends of Tomorrow that have debuted recently).

Following the historical figures of H.G. Wells and Jack the Ripper, the series was executively produced by The Vampire Diaries‘ Kevin Williamson and Blindspot‘s Marcos Siega.

Time After Time debuted March 5 to a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic, and viewership only dropped from there. The series aired Sundays at 9/8c, and will be replaced by Alec Baldwin’s celebrity gameshow Match Game.
