Sony’s Kraven the Hunter has found its star in Aaron Taylor-Johnson!

Looks like Aaron Taylor-Johnson is gearing up to make a return to Marvel.

Deadline reports on Wednesday (May 26) that the actor has signed on to play the titular role in Sony’s next Marvel feature, Kraven the Hunter.

Also known as Sergei Kravinoff, Kraven the Hunter is one of Spider-Man’s most notorious foes.

In the comics, the character is an accomplished big-game hunter who is looking to kill the web slinging superhero in an effort to prove he’s the best hunter in the world.

The half brother of fellow supervillain, The Chameleon, Kraven the Hunter also serves as one of the members of the villainous group know as the Sinister Six. In some comics, he’s also served as an ally of Squirrel Girl, and painted as an antihero.

Behind the camera, the film is set to be directed by A Most Violent Year helmer J.C. Chandor. Meanwhile, the script is set to be penned by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk.

Coming up next for Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the actor is set to star opposite Brad Pitt in the star-studded action movie, Bullet Train.

Sony and Marvel’s Kraven the Hunter is set to hit theaters on January 13, 2023.
