Three new images of Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) in A Young Doctor’s Notebook have been released, giving a great glimpse at Hamm and Radcliffe playing the same character.

Slated for a release in the U.K. next month, A Young Doctor’s Notebook is based on the short stories of Mikhail Bulgakov, a dark comedy following Hamm as a post-WWI doctor, narrating the story and interacting with his younger self, played by Radcliffe, as it chronicles his attempts to cover up his self doubt and lack of confidence.

A few weeks ago, Hamm had this to say about the story, “I loved the tone of it all, the mystery and sense of ‘other’ it engendered. The world was very foreign, yet very relatable, in a fish out of water sense. Bulgakov’s writing is very emotional and evocative.”

On getting the right accent down for the character, Hamm joked, “I have been watching Bridget Jones’s Diary on infinite loop, and I think I’ve finally got this accent thing sorted.”

A Young Doctor’s Notebook will be released as a four-part miniseries on Sky Arts 1 in early December. There is no word as of yet on whether the miniseries will be released in the U.S.
