The sequel to A Quiet Place will be directed by John Krasinski. The original stars, including Emily Blunt, are in talks to return.

On Friday, John Krasinski shared this Instagram post about the sequel, showing the front door from A Quiet Place with the caption “…time to go back. #PartII 5-15-20.”

The sequel doesn’t have a title yet, but it will officially be directed by John Krasinski and will be released on May 15, 2020.

The horror movie by America’s favorite couple, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, surprised everyone by being one of the best movies to come out in 2018. Although (spoiler alert) John Krasinski’s character didn’t make it through A Quiet Place, the rest of the family remained safe as the credits rolled.

Stars Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds are currently in talks to reprise their roles in the sequel to A Quiet Place. It would be great to see how the Abbott family keeps moving after losing Lee, but any movie set in this world and directed by Krasinski has the potential to be great, whether the first film’s stars return or not!

Screenwriters Bryan Woods and Scott Beck are also returning for the sequel, and are currently working on the script with Krasinski.
