As we creep closer to October, everyone is getting pumped up for new fall television.  We all hope that our favorite shows are going to be everything they are cracked up to be.

But as we stand on the brink of several new things to watch, we thought we would go ahead and show you what you can look forward to in Spring 2012.

  1. AwakeHarry Potter actor Jason Isaacs stars in this NBC original series as a father and husband who gets into a car accident with his wife and son in the vehicle.  When he wakes up after the accident, he discovers he is living two lives.  In one life, his wife survived the car accident and he still lives with her as they gradually grieve the death of their son.  But when he goes to sleep at night, he wakes up and his son has survived at the cost of his wife’s death.  As a police detective, he lives these two separate lives as normally as possible, with two different partners and two different therapists with whom he discusses his strange new reality.  Although an official release date is yet to be announced, it is expected that the series will air in early 2012.  Click here to view the trailer.
  2. Game of Thrones Season 2 – The television adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s masterpiece comes to life once again for the second season of HBO’s new hot show.  If you’ve been over to the Game of Thrones section on Hypable, you’ll already know all you need to about the upcoming season.  Plenty of new twists and characters await Thrones fans.  I am personally a huge fan of the series and have started reading the books as a result – they are worth checking out also!  If you haven’t seen one, you can view a trailer for Game of Thrones here.
  3. Avatar: Legend of Korra – After the rather disappointing Avatar: The Last Airbender live action film, many Avatar fans have been looking for something to sink their teeth into for a long time.  Well, now they have found it.  Legend of Korra is set to take place 70 years after the plotline of The Last Airbender, with the main character, Korra, being the next Avatar after Aang.  There will be a whole new slew of characters, with the main plotline being the struggle against an anti-bender revolt.  If you’ve seen our Legend of Korra section, you will know that rumors have been flying about for a while now about potential release dates.  Some believe it may be pushed back to 2013, but as the first two seasons have already been made, I consider that merely a rumor for now.  As such, an early 2012 release seems more likely.  Check out this exciting trailer.
