7th Heaven alum Stephen Collins, who played the dad Eric Camden on the WB family drama, has reportedly confessed to molesting three underage girls.

The confession came in a therapy session secretly recorded by his wife Faye Grant in 2012. The two are currently going through a “nasty, prolonged” divorce, according to TMZ, who obtained the tape and released it for public consumption.

In the three-minute audio recording, Collins confesses to touching three young girls, including one who was in the family of his first wife.

According to TMZ, the tape was secretly recorded because according to Grant’s lawyer, “in California you’re allowed to secretly record conversations to gather evidence the other person committed a violent felony … and molesting a child under the age of 14 qualifies.”

Collins has continued to maintain an active television career in the years since 7th Heaven went off the air in 2007. He has had roles on shows like Private Practice, Devious Maids, Revolution, Scandal, and Falling Skies.

Update: Collins has been fired from Ted 2, where he was set to play a decent sized role. He’s also resigned from the SAG-AFTRA board after the allegations of child molestation came to light.

The audio tape is now in possession of the New York Police Department who are launching an investigation into the sexual abuse crimes.
