We’ve pretty much been as in love with Oliver as Connor has been from the moment we met him in How to Get Away with Murder season 1, so hearing we’ll be getting more of Conrad Ricamora? That’s amazing news.

After what we saw Oliver doing at the very end of last night’s How to Get Away with Murder season 2 finale, we couldn’t be more excited to learn that more Oliver is on the way. He has been a fan favorite from the outset, and there are so many reasons why we’re excited to have him on our screens full time. Here are just a few of them.

1. It’s about damn time

The man has been the one shiny, happy person amidst a whole bunch of corrupt crazies for two seasons now. Sure, he hacks into just about anything they need when they need it (and sometimes when they don’t), but in the grand scheme of things, his hacking is the least of their worries. Oliver’s presence has made the show, and Connor, better in so, so many ways. It’s about damn time he was a regular.

2. Connor and Oliver can now get even more screen time

Just as Oliver has been the brightest and shiniest character around, Coliver has been the only semi-functional couple on the show since the outset. Annalise’s marriage was fraught with complications, Asher and Bonnie couldn’t cut it in the long run, Michaela has picked some real winners, and Laurel and Frank have issues of their own. We hope that Oliver and Connor can be a little more forthcoming next season, as secrets definitely don’t help keep them together.

3. Oliver will officially be a part of the team

Oliver has been flirting with the idea of becoming a full part of Annalise’s team for a while now, but Connor has objected to it at all turns. Maybe the right reason will come along now and Oliver can officially be a part of the team. I doubt Connor would object if being a part of Annalise’s team could keep Oliver safe, for instance.

4. Hopefully Connor will tell Oliver all his darkest secrets now

The biggest obstacle sitting between Connor and Oliver taking their relationship to the highest level is the secrets that Connor has been forced to keep from his love. Connor hasn’t been the perpetrator of any of the murders, but he’s played an active role in covering them up. Hopefully Oliver will find it in him to understand why Connor has done these things, and even more importantly, why he’s kept them from him.

5. Maybe he’ll get a storyline that’s all his own

Oliver has had some minor storyline blips, but no fully-fledged stories completely focused around him, which has made sense because he was considered a recurring character. Now that he’s a series regular, there’s no excuse why we shouldn’t get some great new stories about Oliver. There is so much more to him than just Connor’s hacker boyfriend, and we can’t wait to know each and every thing we can learn about him.

6. We’ll get a chance to see him create real relationships with the other characters

So far, his interactions with anyone other than Connor have been minor or uncomplicated. Now that he will hopefully have a chance to interact with them on a more regular basis, we’re anxious to see him bond and form friendships with other members of the team. Can’t you just imagine him and Asher doing some crazy ridiculous handshake? Or he and Michaela teaming up to talk sense into the general craziness that always sets in? We are excited to see all these new relationships take shape.

What do you think about Conrad Ricamora becoming a series regular on ‘How to Get Away with Murder’?
