We have our first look at what is coming in The Originals season 2, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what the Mikaelsons have in store for us this year.

First of all, make sure to watch the 30-second-long teaser trailer for The Originals season 2, then check out the five things from it below that have us most excited for season 2.

‘The Originals’ season 2 teaser trailer

5 things we are most excited to see

1. Someone throws Klaus across a room

While we slowed down the trailer and went frame by frame to try and get a look at this suspicious, possibly male, figure that chucks Klaus across the room, we had no luck figuring it out. Our best guesses include Elijah, Kol, or Mikael, but we accept any and all crack theories on the subject, so let us know in the comments below!

2. Elijah and Mikael showdown

We’ve seen Klaus go toe-to-toe with his father (more like his supernatural step-dad) before, but Elijah and Mikael have had surprisingly little interaction on screen. Thus, we are extremely excited to see what they have to say to each other when they square off in The Originals season 2.

3. Hayley is angry… and hungry.

We heard all about how Hayley is going to be adjusting to life as a hybrid at San Diego Comic-Con last month, but seeing her dealing with her new phase of life is exciting. We can’t wait to see if she can give Klaus a run for his money in the “I’m-big-I’m-bad-I’m-mean” department. She’s a pissed off momma, and we can’t wait to see where Hayley goes in season 2.

4. Cami tells Elijah that Marcel is a weapon waiting to be fired

Marcel has been on the outs since Klaus first discovered his long buried betrayal. However, Cami seems to think that the Mikaelsons have more to gain with Marcel by their side than by continuing their hostilities. Plus, seeing Cami take a stand and tell Elijah in no certain terms that Marcel is a weapon they have caged across the river waiting to be unleashed is amazing progress for her character.

5. That look on Marcel’s face

That face tells more than we could ever hope to see. He is shocked that Klaus is about to offer him a chance to get back in the game, and hopefully it will be as an ally to the Original family that he has idolized for far too long. We’re not sure if even Marcel and Klaus are a match for Mikael, Esther, and/or any other evil cronies they might have brought with them, but we are most anxious to see them try.
