I do want to see that! Okay, this is a tad corny, but we simply had to use it. Word on the street is that Lisa Kudrow and producers of The Comeback may be plotting to bring the series back for a second season – almost 10 years removed from its debut.

According to Deadline, Kudrow and executive producer Michael Patrick King have been in talks with HBO to create a “limited/event series.”

If you haven’t watched The Comeback, it debuted on HBO back in 2005. While it didn’t make a huge splash at the time, it earned three Emmy nominations (including lead actress for Kudrow) and later developed a cult following posthumously. It’s currently streaming in full on HBO GO, if you want to check it out.

Here are five reasons that The Comeback must return – in some capacity – to our TV/computer screens.

1. Lisa Kudrow

This should go without saying. Lisa Kudrow, best known for her role as Phoebe on Friends, is an amazingly hilarious comedic actress. Though she’s currently popping in on Scandal on ABC, Lisa Kudrow needs to put on her comedy hat and that hideous pink track suit of Aunt Sassy’s and give us what we all know we want!

2. Valerie Cherish

Again, this should go without saying. Lisa Kudrow did such an amazing job making Valerie Cherish the most annoying yet most hilarious character in comedy back in 2005 during The Comeback’s run. You rooted for Valerie, but you weren’t really sure why because it’s clear that she’s a nightmare. Imagine how much more terrible Valerie Cherish will be in a world where Real Housewives is a hit franchise. The world wasn’t ready for Valerie Cherish in 2005 – now they are.

3. More of this Dancing

Lisa Kudrow is a queen at making awkward moments on screen. This GIF is one of many from the first season of The Comeback.

4. Nostalgia is in!

Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Boy Meets World. TV’s golden titles with loyal fans are getting a massive second chance. Networks are finally listening to fans first, which has produced amazing hype and excitement leading into their second lives.

5. Valerie Cherish’s stylist Mickey

Arguably the most underrated character of the first season, Mickey (played by Robert Michael Morris) was a closeted (then not-closeted) stylist to Valerie Cherish who always added a giggle to a scene no matter what he was doing. It’s very important that we find out what Mickey is up to these days! It’s a must!
