S.J. Kincaid’s novel, Insignia, isn’t set to release until July 10, but 20th Century Fox has optioned it. The story is a futuristic thriller about a 14-year-old gamer.

From Variety:

In a pre-emptive purchase, 20th Century Fox has acquired S.J. Kincaid’s futuristic young adult thriller “Insignia.” The book is the first in a planned trilogy. Set during World War III, story centers around a 14-year-old gamer who enrolls in an elite military training academy. Before long he discovers that the military intends to turn him into a superhuman fighter by installing a computer in his brain.

Do you think this will make an interesting movie? It certainly sounds like an interesting book and has certianly moved to the top of my TBR pile.
