From here to Westeros people know Game of Thrones is based off the book series, A Song of Ice and Fire. But many book-to-TV adaptations go under the radar.

In fact, many TV shows these days originated as books, from The 100 to House of Cards. Sometimes the books are better and other times the shows are, but you will never know if you don’t read the book!

This year, we’ve already had Neflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, so here are some others coming up this year that you should check out!

‘Big Little Lies,’ HBO, Feb. 19

Based on the bestselling book of the same name comes a mini-series about three mothers of first graders whose seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel…to the point of murder.

If the plot doesn’t already intrigue you, the cast surely will! Big Little Lies stars Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Shailene Woodley. Co-stars include Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgaard, and Adam Scott.
