The 69th Tony Awards capped off an exciting season of theatre on Sunday, and here is the full list of winners!

Fun Home emerged triumphant, sweeping the big four categories (Musical, Book, Score, and Direction) along with Best Lead Actor. The presumed frontrunner, American in Paris, had a disappointing showing, getting four awards all in minor categories. The King and I fared very well, getting Best Revival, Costume Design, and both Featured and Lead Actress. The latter was a bit of a surprise, giving Kelli O’Hara her long overdue Tony on her sixth nomination. Featured Actor in a Musical went to Christian Borle, giving Something Rotten! its only win of the night.

Over on the play side, Curious Incident swept all five awards it was expected to, including Best Play, Best Direction, and Best Lead Actor. It was a rare instance of a show from the fall doing well at the Tonys, but Curious Incident never lost its frontrunner status throughout the season. The Audience fared well, winning for Lead Actress and (in a very tight race) Featured Actor. Featured Actress went to Annaleigh Ashford for You Can’t Take It With You, making her the only person associated with an American play to win a Tony. The Brits are just better at plays. In the biggest surprise of the night, Skylight won Best Revival over You Can’t Take It With You and The Elephant Man. Hand to God, despite scoring five nominations, went home empty-handed, while all Wolf Hall got from its eight nominations was a Tony for Costume Design.
