Birdman was the big winner at the 2015 Oscars after many expected Boyhood to take the top categories.
Birdman was the big winner of the night after it won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Cinematography categories. Its main competition for the top prize, Boyhood, only nabbed one win (Best Supporting Actress). The Grand Budapest Hotel took home four Oscars, and Whiplash nabbed three.
