The Academy has announced two additional performers for the 2014 Oscars who will play their respective nominated songs.

U2 will perform “Ordinary Love” from the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. It will be the first time the band performs it live. Watch the studio version of the song below:

The Irish rock band is currently at work on their next studio album which is slated to premiere later this year. Bono has been careful about saying it’s still a work in progress, and it’s not finished until it’s really finished.

On the same night, Karen O will sing the Oscar nominated “The Moon Song” from Her. Spike Jonze co-wrote the lyrics with O. Watch the studio version:

Earlier this week we learned that Idina Menzel will put on a live performance of “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen.

The only song left that is not (currently) set for a live performance is “Happy” from Despicable Me 2 by Pharrell. Don’t be surprised if his involvement is announced very soon. If he does perform, there will be another question: Will he wear that big hat that he first premiered at the 2014 Grammys?

The four songs will compete at the 2014 Oscars in the Best Song category. Check out our previous report for a complete list of nominees.

The 2014 Oscars will be broadcast live on ABC Sunday, March 2. They’ll be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.

Not much else is known about what we can expect in terms of entertainment during this year’s Oscars. Since Ellen is involved, we can expect a good amount of dry humor, and hopefully some fun skits like a musical opening.
