From Nicki to Beyoncé, Maroon 5 to 5 Seconds of Summer, the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards had something for everyone.

Many of the performances at Sunday night’s VMAs were songs we’ve been hearing on the radio all summer (or ones like “Shake It Off” that are just starting to get air play).
