The 2013 BAFTA nominations have been announced, with a typical batch of surprises along the way. Not surprising was Lincoln‘s 10 nominations, leading the field despite a snub for director Steven Spielberg.

Despite a shocking snub for Best Director, Lincoln picked up Best Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay and nominations in many other categories. Behind it with 9 noms apiece are Life of Pi and Les Miserables, although Tom Hooper was also absent from the Best Director category, which included Michael Haneke for Amour, Ben Affleck for Argo, Quentin Tarantino for Django Unchained, Ang Lee for Life of Pi and Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty.

Best Film honors went to the usual suspects, Argo, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Les Miserables and Zero Dark Thirty. Best British Film nominations went to Anna Karenina, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Les Miserables (again), Seven Psychopaths and Skyfall.

Skyfall also got help from its British counterparts, earning Supporting nods for Javier Bardem and Judi Dench, with eight nominations in total. Best Foreign Language Film nominations went to Amour, Headhunters, The Hunt, The Intouchables and Rust and Bone, as Amour also picked up a Best Actress nomination for Emmanuelle Riva, in addition to this and Best Director for Haneke.

The full list of nominees has been included below, and the 2013 BAFTAs take place on February 10, 2013 at the Royal Opera House in London.
