As our list above shows you, there’s a lot of great movies streaming on Netflix in a wide variety of genres. From big blockbusters to small, heartfelt indies, Netflix has something for everyone.

At the beginning of every month, Netflix adds a slew of new content to their catalogue. June is no different, and some of the titles that are new on Netflix this month have us very excited. This month titles like World War Z, Apocalypse Now Redux, and El Dorado were added. While we haven’t gotten to the bottom of everything we’ve wanted to watch yet, it’s always nice to have some new options too.

Netflix and competitors like Amazon Prime are becoming very useful for film fans that don’t live in some of the biggest cities in the United States. Where movies on our list like The Avengers and Star Trek Into Darkness reach theaters everywhere, smaller movies like Mud, Short Term 12, Safety Not Guaranteed, and Drinking Buddies don’t make it to places where most people live. When they get added to services like Netflix it allows these great works of art to be experienced on a much wider scale.

If we’re lucky, some of the movies in our previous 10 lesser-known movies you can’t miss this summer list will make it to a streaming service like Netflix too. It’s always fun to try to see them any (legal) way possible, but sometimes it just isn’t possible. There’s no doubt we’ll be able to see some of the huge blockbusters that shouldn’t be missed this summer, but we want to be able to see them all.
