HBO’s True Blood season 6 will welcome yet another new actress that is expected to play a pretty fun role. Karolina Wydra will play Violet.

According to TV Line, who broke the news, Violet is a “strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vamp on par with Eric Northman’s and Bill Compton’s world.” They also described her as a “badass.” Hypable writer Sonya predicts she may be a new love interest for Jason Stackhouse (Sookie’s brother).

As the cast and crew continue to film, interesting news surrounding the production of the sixth season continues to surface. The biggest news was that True Blood’s new show runner Mark Hudis, who had replaced creator Alan Ball at the end of season 5, left the show after filming only a few episodes. The news suggested that things within the production between Hudis and the team were rocky and the season may have been off to a bad start. Executive producer Brian Buckner replaced Hudis and will finish the remainder of the 10 episodes the cable channel ordered.

Other new cast members for the season include Rutger Hauer who will play someone connected to Jason and Sookie. On set photos of the character and actor revealed an old and wild looking character.

True Blood season 6 premieres this June. Wydra played Dominika House on Fox’s House.
