A new screenshot from The Legend of Korra season 2 has appeared online, featuring our first look at a new character.

Bryan Konietzko, co-creator of The Legend of Korra, has posted a new photo from the upcoming season 2 on his Tumblr. The photo is from a recent sound mixing session, and displays a scene with a character new to The Legend of Korra season 2 that fans have not yet caught a glimpse at.

The photo shows a scene of a concerned-looking Korra and a new character called Verick. Relatively little is known about Verick, whose design was introduced at last year’s San Diego Comic Con. He is a resident of the Southern Water Tribe (Korra’s home turf) and is described as a businessman who prefers a flamboyant style of dressing. The show’s co-creators also shared that Verick will develop a friendly relationship with Bolin in The Legend of Korra season 2.

A smattering of other images from The Legend of Korra season 2 have been released recently, though their quality is unfortunately lacking. The photos come from a Brazilian dubbing session, and show the actors as well as glimpses at a few scenes from season 2. You can check out the images right here:

Perhaps most interesting is the brief look at Bolin, who seems to be towing along both of Korra’s twin cousins Desna and Eska (though just why is anyone’s guess.) It’s also nice to catch a shot of Korra’s uncle Unalaq, and our first view of Tenzin in The Legend of Korra season 2.

If you still have a hankering for higher-quality Korra clips, you can check out this small feature from Nickelodeon, which included our first proper look at material from The Legend of Korra season 2.
