In another new poster for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, we get to see the whole gang in one place, looking ready for action.
The poster shows, from left to right, Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), Percy (Logan Lerman), Grover (Brandon T. Jackson), Clarisse (Leven Rambin), and Tyson (Douglas Smith). In the center we get this movie’s slogan, “In Demigods We Trust.”
This poster follows several previous posters of the individual characters that were released over the last few weeks, including Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, and Clarisse.
Prior to this we’ve gotten a poster of Percy and Annabeth side by side, as well as one with Percy and his sword, Riptide.
Fans seem much more enthusiastic about Sea of Monsters, the Lightning Thief sequel, and the creative team behind the film is going to great lengths to make sure both book fans and newcomers to the franchise are going to be satisfied.
While there has been some worry over certain details, such as the age of the characters and the obvious difference in appearance of Clarisse from how she was described in the books, overall most fans seem to be willing to give Percy Jackson a second chance.
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters hits theaters on August 7 and is based on the book of the same name by Rick Riordan. Jake Abel will also be reprising his role as Luke, and Nathan Fillion will appear as Hermes, while Stanley Tucci will portray Dionysus.
In other Percy Jackson news, we recently saw the cover of the fourth book in Riordan’s Heroes of Olympus series, House of Hades, which featured the fan-favorite pairing of Annabeth and Percy on the front.
