Rom-com fans will definitely want to keep tabs on Emily in Paris.

Hailing from Darren Star (Younger, Sex and the City), the new romantic comedy series finds Lily Collins starring as the titular Emily– an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago.

Emily’s life takes a glamorous turn after she unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when the her company acquires a French luxury marketing company.

Once in the City of Lights, Emily finds herself juggling winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances. Although, one glimpse at the first teaser, and it’s clear to see that Emily will be having tons of fun navigating her new life along the way.

Lily Collins and Darren Star are teaming up for Emily In Paris, a brand new romantic comedy series coming soon to Netflix!

Fans of actress Lily Collins, as well as Younger and Sex and the City vet Darren Star will definitely want to keep their eyes peeled for this one!

On Monday (July 13), Netflix announced that the brand new romantic comedy series, Emily In Paris would officially be hitting the streaming platform this fall.

Hailing from Darren Star, who will serve as the show’s creator, writer and executive producer, Star teamed up with MTV Studios to bring the new series (which was shot entirely on location in Paris and France) to life.

In a statement announcing the series’ forthcoming Netflix premiere, Star said: “MTV Studios and I couldn’t hope for a more perfect home for Emily In Paris than Netflix. With their international reach, we are excited to share Emily with audiences around the world.”

Starring Lily Collins (Love, Rosie, The Mortal Instruments), the series focuses on Emily (Collins)— a 20-something marketing executive from Chicago, who unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company.

On the work front, Emily finds herself tasked with revamping the company’s social media strategy, but that’s not all she’ll be getting up to in the City of Lights. In addition to trying to win over her new colleagues, she’ll also have to figure out how to make friends, and navigate new romances, all while facing intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges along the way.

Others joining Collins in the new rom-com series include Ashley Park (Mean Girls on Broadway), Philippine Leroy Beaulieu (Call My Agent!), Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass), Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra), Camille Razat (The 15:17 to Paris) and Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin), Kate Walsh (The Umbrella Academy), William Abadie (Resident Evil: Extinction) and Arnaud Viard (Clara et Moi).

Comprised of 10, 30-minute episodes, Emily In Paris season 1 is set to premiere exclusively via Netflix in Fall 2020.
