‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’ season 2 gets January premiere date

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist fans can look forward to diving in to season 2 shortly after the new year!

NBC delivered some fantastic news to fans of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist who just can’t wait for new episodes. On Friday (November 20), the network announced that season 2 o the hit musical dramedy would officially be debuting on Tuesday, January 5.

Shortly after news broke the series took to its official Twitter account to share the good news with fans far and wide.

“Get ready to sing along! Season 2 of Zoey’s Playlist premieres Tuesday, January 5 on NBC!” Tweeted the series along with an image that boasts the premiere date for the new season.

The series season 1 finale found Zoey (Jane Levy) and her family bidding a tearful farewell to her ailing father (Peter Gallagher). While we’re sure the family will still be grieving the loss come season 2, we’re sure Zoey will have plenty more to juggle in addition mourning her father.

The series’ highly anticipated second season is gearing up to welcome a few new faces who’ve joined the cast in recurring roles.

Actress Jee Young Han will be playing Jenna Kang— Emily’s sister, who ends up forming a bond with Zoey’s mom, Maggie.

Meanwhile, actor Felix Mallard will take on the role of Aiden, Zoey’s old childhood next door neighbor who’s back in town after having spent the last few years backpacking around Asia.

Finally, actor Harvey Guillen will play a new programmer at Sparq named George who’s looking for Zoey’s approval.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist season 2 premieres Tuesday, January 5 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
