The long awaited trailer for Wonder Woman: 1984 is finally here.
Don’t be fooled, the new trailer for the second Wonder Woman movie is not a trailer for the next season of Stranger Things. The next instalment of the DCEU’s most beloved franchise is simply leaning into its 80’s setting in a big way.
The trailer was released at the Wonder Woman appearance at Brazil’s Comic Con, and shared on the official Wonder Woman Twitter account. Check it out here!

Notably, the trailer features Chris Pine as a prominent character in the movie! This is a huge surprise, since Trevor perished in the first movie, following a noble sacrifice. We knew that Chris Pine would be a part of the movie, but we thought it might be in flashbacks. This Wonder Woman: 1984 trailer makes him seem very important to the story.

We also get our first look at Kristen Wiig’s character in this trailer for Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman sequel. She will be playing the human-cat hybrid, Cheetah, who’s a famous foe of Diana Prince’s in the Wonder Woman comic books. The trailer also features Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord.
Wonder Woman: 1984 premieres in theatres on June 5, 2020.
