Will & Grace season 1 hasn’t even finished airing yet, but the revival has already been picked up for a third season.
At the show’s Paleyfest appearance on March 17, the cast broke the news that we’ll definitely get to see Will, Grace, Jack and Karen’s antics even beyond the upcoming season 2. There’s plenty more story to tell, and they’re officially getting a third season to tell it!
The Will & Grace revival is no stranger to early renewals. The iconic show was picked up for its second season before the first episode aired, based on audience anticipation alone.
That wasn’t the only exciting Will & Grace news to come out of this year’s Paleyfest. David Kohan, who was in attendance along with the four lead actors and fellow writer, Max Mutchnik, and director, Jimmy Burrows, also announced that the original 13 episode order for season 2 has been increased to 18 episodes.
The first season of the Will & Grace revival included 16 episodes, with the finale airing on April 5, 2018, so the increase for the second installment and the early renewal looks very promising for fans of the show. Season 2 of the show will premiere this fall.
