Director Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel will be released on Blu-ray June 17, and now you can watch the incredibly beautiful hotel be recreated with the use of Legos.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is director Wes Anderson’s most recent film. It was released this past March to rave reviews and earned $170 million worldwide, an incredibly promising box office for the indie director.

Due to the popularity of the film, Lego-master Ryan Ziegelbauer was contacted by Fox Searchlight, the film’s studio, to build the hotel in anticipation of the The Grand Budapest Hotel’s Blu-ray release on June 17.

Watch their amazing work in the video showcasing the hotel’s recreation below using Legos and some help from the film’s Tony Revolori, who played Zero:

The team spent over 575 hours building the hotel and used 50,000 Legos while recreating the iconic Grand Budapest Hotel. The press release says, “More than 50,000 certified Lego bricks from collectors and wholesalers were sourced from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Germany, Italy and 14 different states in the U.S, the final model will weigh approximately 150 pounds and stand 7 feet tall and 6.5 feet wide.”

The Lego behemoth will be on display at the Grove in Los Angeles on June 17, when The Grand Budapest Hotel’s Blu-ray and DVD hits store shelves. It seems Legos are all the rave since The Lego Movie became a monster hit at the box office and the most recent Lego creation is breathtakingly beautiful.
