Following Universal’s announcement that its Hollywood park would receive a Wizarding World land, we quickly heard about one area that was getting bulldozed to make room.
Now we’re learning of another.
Screamscape reports that its water show, WaterWorld, will also be getting demolished:
Make sure to get your butt planted for a viewing of Waterworld before you leave. It seems a fairly sure thing now that Waterworld will be removed sooner than later to make way for the start of construction Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
We’ve made a graphic below showing the two known attractions getting cut. In December we heard that the Wizarding World would be built on the Gibson Amphitheatre space.
Looking at this image, you’ll see that the Wizarding World will be built very close to Universal Hollywood’s red-carpet entrance. That’s a big difference from Universal Orlando, where the Wizarding World sits at the very back.
Universal’s website offers this description of the attraction: “The hit motion picture comes surging to life in a spectacular tidal wave of death-defying stunts, awesome explosions and an ocean of thrills!”
Wizarding World Hollywood is expected to open in 2014 or 2015.
