‘The Walking Dead’ Abraham Ford quotes: ‘I’m living, darling, just like you’

The Walking Dead season 7 premiere is just around the corner, and to celebrate here are our favorite quotes from the strong willed Abraham.

When fans first met Abraham Ford, he was dead-set on completing his mission to get to D.C. After losing his family, Abraham lost part of himself. Instead of grieving and coming to terms with it, he met Eugene and put all of his energy into a mission to save the world, or so he thought.

Once Abraham found out the truth, he became full of rage and despair. The one thing that kept him going, hope that he could help rid the world of walkers was all a sham. Rick and the group were able to pull him out of it though, and he became fiercely loyal to them.

Abraham remains rough around the edges, and isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind. Sometimes, that’s just what the group needs though.

‘The Walking Dead’ Abraham Ford quotes:

  • Tara: Hope you enjoyed the show, assholes.
Abraham: You got a damn mouth on you, you know that? What else you got?
    –4×10 “Inmates”
  • Abraham: Son of a dick!
    –4×11 “Claimed”
  • Abraham: So you tell me how in the holy hell did you possibly kill this truck?
Eugene: A fully amped-up state and an ignorance of rapid-firing weapons.
    –4×11 “Claimed”
  • The Walking Dead 4x11 Abraham
  • Abraham: He tells me I’m wrong, I listen.
    –4×15 “Us”
  • Abraham: They seemed nice enough, but I was ready to go. We just got here, but, damn, it was time to go. When I told them about DC, a wink and a nod from the head asshole in charge they pulled their guns and it was right back to our regularly scheduled shit storm.
    –5×01 “No Sanctuary”
  • Rick: Do you have any weapons on you?
Father Gabriel Stokes: Do I look like I would have any weapons.
Abraham: We don’t give two short and curlies what it looks like.
    –5×02 “Strangers”
  • The Walking Dead 5x02 Abraham
  • Abraham: Is that all you want to be? Wake up in the morning, fight the undead pricks, forage for food, go to sleep with two eyes open, rinse and repeat? ‘Cause you can do that. I mean you got the strength, you got the skill. Thing is, for you people, for what you can do, that’s just surrender. Now we get Eugene to Washington and he make the dead die and the living will have this world again. And that is not a bad takeaway for a little road trip. Eugene, what’s in D.C.?
Eugene: Infrastructure constructed to withstand pandemics even for this fubar magnitude. That means fuel, food, refuge. Restart.
Abraham: However this plays out, however long it takes for the reset button to kick in, you can be safe there. Safer than you’ve been since this whole thing started. Come with us. Save the world for that little one, save it for yourselves. Save it for the people out there, who don’t got nothing left to do except survive.
Rick: What was that? I think she knows what I’m about to say, she’s in. If she’s in, I’m in, we’re in.
    –5×02 “Strangers”
  • Rosita: [Rosita combs Abraham’s hair] It’s getting a little messy for you.
Abraham: Gettin’ ready for retirement. Relaxin’ the grooming standards. Thinkin’ about becomin’ a plumber, a sheepherder, or something.
Rosita: You ain’t herding sheep now, Abraham. Eyes on the prize.
Abraham: Damn right, that’s my girl. Maybe I’ll let you shave me down all over, dolphin-smooth.
    –5×05 “Self Help”
  • The Walking Dead 5x05 Abraham
  • Abraham: You got a shit storm behind door A and a storm of shit behind door B. If you’re lucky, it’s walkers or a shot-up truck. But sooner or later you get cornered. You wind up stayin’ and you wind up killin’. We don’t go back, we can’t go back.
    –5×05 “Self Help”
  • Abraham: You packing different still nowadays?
    Michonne: Yeah.
Abraham: Live by it, you die by it… and eat potato puffs by it. Pray to God you don’t have to use it again. Pray to God you don’t get use to not using it again. It’s on your back… even when it’s off your back. Hmm.
Michonne: How much have you had to drink?
Abraham: I am a large man, and I have had many beers to make up for that.
    –5×13 “Forget”

    The Walking Dead 5x13 Abraham
  • Abraham: Simply put, there’s a vast ocean of shit you people don’t know shit about. Rick knows every fine grain of said shit and then some.
    –5×16 “Conquer”
  • Abraham: Well, look at me. You didn’t see Reg the night he got it, that was a mess. And Pete, his face just blowing up like Pompeii right when we were cheek to cheek. I think I still got some of his brains in my ear.
Abraham: Well, look at that. All right, everything is aces again.
Sasha: What the hell are you doing
Abraham: I’m just grabbing the bull by the nutsack. I’m living, darling, just like you.
    –6×01 “First Time Again”
  • The Walking Dead 6x01 Abraham
  • Abraham: You see, I know this group and I know Rick. And whatever happened back there is being managed and kicked right up into its own ass one way or another. I know that. We got beers, and air conditioning, and walls. The table is set for the rest of our lives, and I hope those years to be long and fruitful. I see that time before me and I’ve been feeling the urge to make some plays before the great cosmic Pete comes to cut my throat unceremoniously and I gurgle my last breath. Well, things are gonna go on a while before that, and that hadn’t occurred to me before. I’ve been kind of living check-to-check on that point. I like the way you call bullshit, Sasha. I believe I’d like to get to know you a whole lot better.
Sasha: That one of your plays? What makes you think I want that?
    Abraham: A man can tell.
    –6×06 “Always Accountable”
  • Abraham: You were out of control for a good while there. Just about took my arm off on the road to paradise. You remember that?
Sasha: I do. I’m in control now.
    Abraham: Me too.
Sasha: That’s why you want to kill that walker? The one down the street? The guys in the car? ‘Cause you’re in control.
Abraham: ‘Cause loose ends make my ass itch.
    –6×06 “Always Accountable”
  • Sasha: Where did you get that?
Abraham: It is the fruit of some off-the-chart stupidity. Some Grade-A, butt steak idiocy.
Sasha: Self-awareness is a beautiful thing.
    Abraham: Yes, it is.
    –6×06 “Always Accountable”
  • The Walking Dead 6x06 Abraham
  • Abraham: When you were, uh, pouring the Bisquick, were you trying to make pancakes?
Glenn: Uh, Yes? Oh, okay, um…
    –6×11 “Knots Untie”
  • Abraham: This is how I want it.
    Rosita: Why?
Abraham: Why are dingleberries brown? It’s just the way shit is.
    –6×12 “Not Tomorrow Yet”
  • Abraham: And you think you can do that, here? With just this?
Eugene: Well, the digs well require a thorough scrubbing. We’ll have to scare up a hella ton of lead, but, yes. I most definitely almost certainly think I can do that here.
Abraham: That, my friend, is some damn fine genuine outside-the-box thinking.
    –6×14 “Twice As Far”
  • The Walking Dead 6x14 Abraham
  • Rosita: Where are you going?
    Daryl: Out.
Abraham: No, shit. You got specifics?
    –6×15 “East”
  • Eugene: How come you never let me drive the truck?
Abraham: I didn’t think you could do it, I was wrong. You’re a survivor, you always were. We just didn’t know it, me and you both.
    –6×16 “Last Day On Earth”
  • Abraham: You think we could do it?
    Sasha: What?
Abraham: What they did, Glenn and Maggie? Just asking if you could do that. If you’re doing something as big as that… if that’s living.
    Sasha: Could you?
Abraham: Yeah, I could. Now. Just so you know.
    –6×16 “Last Day On Earth”
