Dos Santos then lead the panel in a modified game of I Never with water where she asked if anyone had kissed on set when the cameras stopped rolling, any pranks that had occurred, taking props from set, who cried when it was cancelled and when it reached its Kickstarter goal, and who attended their own high school reunion. Chris Lowell and Jason Dohring both joking took a sip when asked about kissing off cameras, while everyone admitted to taking a prop from set.
The panel highlighted their favorite prank on the set involved Teddy Dunn, who played Duncan Kane. Kristen as the instigator got the writers to write a scene where Logan and Duncan had to kiss. Dunn freaked out but then handled it like a professional and was ready to do the scene, before they revealed it was a prank.
The panel then debuted a new exclusive clip which featured the first scene of the reunion as written by Diane Ruggiero. It was clever, witty, and fast, all of the things fans love about Veronica Mars. It featured Majorino, Daggs, Bell, and Amanda Noret as Madison Sinclair.
The panel would have loved to resurrect Lilly, Cassidy, or Backup when asked about who they would bring back. Bell revealed that her two favorite quotes from the series are, “I’m just as God made me” and “Dad, your hooker’s here.” Daggs’ was “You’re a marshmallow,” while Dohring admitted he loved the famous epic scene due to its James Dean like qualities but revealed that his favorite lines was one of Bell’s with “You can find anybody” due to her delivery. Hansen jokingly replied that he loved “All fours” and “Logan.”
Thomas revealed that originally the network worried that the show was a male centric show and wanted a female role model for Veronica. Thomas fought back against this as he thought Veronica was tough and had shunned polite girl society.
Thomas’ favorite episodes were “The Trip to the Dentist” and the series finale “The Bitch is Back” as he liked the direction that the episode pointed to and how it inspired him to write the film due to unanswered questions.
A fan asked Enrico Colantoni and Bell who they would want Veronica to end up with. Colantoni said as a father he would pick Piz but said “she just didn’t like you that much,” while Bell said as a woman she would warn against Logan but that he seems to have the drama that Veronica craves.
The panel were effusive on their gratefulness to the fans for funding the film with Capra especially expressing his gratitude and emotions. He relayed the story of how it was difficult to get work after Veronica Mars that was of the same quality and depth. He praised the fans for helping to inspire him once more. “This job was given to us by people who support us. That is the greatest show of love and support.”
