Paramount+ is looking to return to The Real World. A revival of the iconic MTV reality series is officially on the horizon!
According to Deadline, ViacomCBS is currently in the process of developing a revival of MTV’s hit reality series, The Real World.
The revival is set to debut exclusively via the company’s Paramount+ streaming platform, and is slated to be available upon the streamer’s March 4 launch date.
Paramount+ has rounded up the cast of the first season of The Real World, who are set to reunite for the revival.
Fans will be able to watch original housemates Becky Blasband, Andre Comeau, Heather B. Gardner, Julie Gentry, Norman Korpi, Eric Nies, and Kevin Powell reconnect over the course of a multi-episode reunion titled, The Real World Homecoming: New York.

In an effort to drive the nostalgia home even further, the multi-episode reunion series is also set to be filmed in the same loft where the iconic reality series filmed its first season.
The iconic reality television series first burst onto the scene in 1992 on MTV, going on to run until 2017.
In a statement announcing the forthcoming Real World revival, Chris McCarthy (president of MTV’s entertainment group) touched on a handful of the reasons why The Real Word was lauded for its contributions to the reality docu-drama television genre.
“MTV’s The Real World has been credited with creating the Reality TV genre and was one of the first series that tackled important and yet unrepresented topics of the time, from HIV/AIDS, Race, Gender, Orientation and Religion,” said McCarthy. “With Paramount+ being the home to so many global reality hit franchises, it seems only fitting to bring back the franchise and cast that started it all.”
The Real World Homecoming: New York is set to debut via Paramount+ on March 4.
