The Legend of Korra season 3 will finish airing in a matter of weeks, according to Nick’s latest statement about the high action cartoon series.
In a response to a The Legend of Korra fan account, Nick’s official Twitter confirmed that The Legend of Korra season 3 will finish airing on August 8th.
The tweet from @NickelodeonTV reads:
@reiko4509 At the moment, the schedule is slated to have two new eps air every Friday starting on July 11 at 8pm/7c
— Nickelodeon (@NickelodeonTV) July 2, 2014
The news of Nick’s schedule for The Legend of Korra season 3 comes on the heels of less than stellar season premiere ratings for the Friday night show. In what has been a long string of questionable marketing decisions, Nickelodeon chose an odd and obscure medium to announce the new scheduling change.
The dual episodes of The Legend of Korra season 3 will be bittersweet for superfans (affectionately dubbed “Avatards”) of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. On the one hand, this means less waiting for episodes of The Legend of Korra season 3. On the flip side, this means that after a year of waiting for hide or tail of The Legend of Korra season 3 news, the entire season will be over in the blink of an eye.
Another unfortunate event occurred when The Legend of Korra season 3 saw several episodes leaked via a Nick affiliate. With all this negative news in mind, we can’t help but start to worry about the fate of the recently announced video games.
It is our hope that the rest of the season airs flawlessly, matching the beauty of the show itself.
