20th Century Fox gave fans another look at The King’s Man, which gives us the origin story behind the Kingsman.
The film is a prequel movie to the Kingsman franchise, which began with 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and lead to a sequel, Kingmans: The Golden Circle.
The franchise is based on the comic book The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbon.

The King’s Man highlights the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency. The film follows one man as he races against time to stop a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds that have gathered to plot a war to wipe out millions.
Both Kingsman movies were directed by Matthew Vaughn, who likewise returns for this prequel series. As this is a prequel series, the main actors from the first two films — Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Mark Strong — wont be making an appearance. Rather, this film will focus on Ralph Fiennes character, the Duke of Oxford.
Ralph Fiennes will play the Colin Firth-esque veteran in this prequel film, while Harris Dickinson will play the Taron Egerton type as the young recruit.
Joining Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson will be Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance.
The King’s Man was originally set to be released February 14, but had its release date moved due to the theater closures caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The film is now scheduled to open in theaters on September 18.
