Update (9/20/19): The upcoming The Craft reboot has officially found its coven!
Production on the upcoming reboot of 90s cult classic, The Craft has been going on for quite some time, but one thing fans have been eagerly awaiting news about is the matter of who the reboot would cast to portray the story’s four teenage witches.
Now, it looks as though the reboot has finally settled on the perfect actors for the job.
Blumhouse, who is co-financing the project with Columbia, took to Twitter on Thursday (September 19) to officially announce who would be portraying the film’s four coven members when the reboot hits the big screen.
“The Craft has its coven! The movie, written, directed, and produced by @ZoeListerJones has cast Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Aldon, Lovie Simone and Zoey Luna to join the witchy, wonderful reimagining of the iconic 90s film,” tweeted the studio.

Original Story (6/21/19):
In case you missed it, the hit ’90s cult classic, The Craft, is officially getting the reboot treatment over at Columbia Pictures and Blumhouse Productions.
Now, it looks as though the studios have zeroed on an actress who will be playing one of the upcoming reboot’s four teenage witches.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, On The Basis of Sex actress Cailee Spaeny has officially been cast in the role of Hannah in the forthcoming remake.
For those of you who need a bit of a refresher, Hannah (originally played by Robin Tunney in the 1996 film) is a shy teen who, upon moving to a new town, makes friends with three teenage outcasts who practice witchcraft.
It’s not until she joins their group that Hannah’s supernatural powers wind up serving as the catalyst the girls need to cast spells against all their classmates who’ve wronged them in the past.
Behind the camera, Zoe Lister-Jones will be serving as writer and director on the project, which has been pegged as a contemporary take on the original movie.
There’s currently no word on who will join Spaney in the roles of Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle — parts originally played by actresses Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True in the ’90s cult classic.
Production on the reboot is reportedly set to start in July though, so we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before we hear of more casting news for the project.
The Craft reboot has yet to receive a release date.
