Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacassa just revealed some spooky new details surrounding The CW’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina that are bound to pique your interest!
If there’s one thing The CW made clear when they announced The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, its that fans of the teenage witch shouldn’t expect the series to be as happy-go-lucky as the beloved ’90s sit-com that starred Melissa Joan Hart.
Now, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is giving fans a sneak peek with regards to what we can expect from the pilot.
The showrunner, who’s currently working on the script for the first episode, took to Twitter on Tuesday (October 3) to share a photo of the first page of the pilot and it’s already giving us some creepy vibes!
“Perfect project for October as the #Riverdale family expands,” tweeted Aguirre-Sacasa along with a photo of the script.

If you zoom in to the picture, you can just make out the opening scene of the pilot which features Sabrina and her boyfriend Harvey taking a walk in the Greendale Woods late at night.
Though Harvey is understandably creeped out, it seems like Sabrina feels right at home.
“Don’t be scared, Harvey, nothing in these woods will hurt you. Not as long as you’re with me— so stay close, ok?” Sabrina tells her boyfriend.
From there, Sabrina finally clues Harvey in as to why she’s brought him to the woods in the first place: so that he can learn more about who she really is.
“I wanted you to see where I was born, Harvey. Not in Greendale General like it says on my birth certificate. Here. In this grab of trees. Almost sixteen years ago,” confesses Sabrina. “And, um. Where I’ll be reborn this Saturday night. On my birthday. At the store of midnight. In the middle of a— penumbral lunar eclipse. The kind that only happens once every 66 years. That’s why I can’t go to Rosalind’s Halloween party this weekend.”
Rebirths, lunar eclipses, and all while trying to navigate high school? Sounds like Sabrina’s about to have a lot on her plate!
Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait for the pilot to air to find out how she goes about clarifying things to Harvey who seems to be a bit confused by Sabrina’s confession!
