The Baby-Sitters Club is sticking around for a season 2 at Netflix!
On Wednesday (October 28) afternoon, Netflix took to the internet to announce that it has officially renewed The Baby-Sitters Club for a season 2.
The entire cast was on hand to participate in a special announcement video that was shared with fans far and wide via Twitter.
The video, which clocks in at just under two minutes, features the series’ young stars singing along to the official Baby-Sitters Club theme song.
Fans of the BSC who grew up devouring every bit of content they could get their hands on will undoubtedly be familiar with the song already, because it’s actually the theme song for the original series adaptation of the books. The first series adaptation originally aired via HBO and ran for a singular season from January to March 1990.

The last we saw of our favorite sitters, the girls had set off at summer camp together where they made a huge splash. The final episode of season 1 also set up the introduction of Jessie Ramsey and Mallory Pike, who, as fans of the book know all too well, go on to become junior members of the BSC.
We’ll be excited to see what sorts of adventures lie ahead for Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, Dawn Schafer, Jessie Ramsey, Mallory Pike as the middle-schoolers continue their successful babysitting business in the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut!
Season 1 of the series adaptation is available to stream right now on Netflix.
Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect The Baby-Sitters Club season 2 to hit Netflix.
