Telltale’s The Walking Dead collection is everything fans of the zombie drama could have asked for, all except one major missed opportunity.
The Telltale’s The Walking Dead collection comes in three tiers, all offering their own bundled-in bonuses. There isn’t a tier that offers just the series of games itself, but for the amount of content that you’re getting, this is still quite the deal. Unfortunately, Lee’s hat is never included in any of the bundles. The nerve!
All tiers of the game bundle offer every season of the game, along with the Michonne episodes and the 400 Days stories. That makes for 23 episodes, and 50 hours of gameplay. Along with all of the content in the bundle, there will be “graphical enhancements,” assumedly for the earlier seasons.
The first pack comes in at $99.99, is called the “Protector Pack,” and comes with a “School for Troubled Youth” shirt, Clementine & Lee Pins, Kenny Cap, Clementine Nesting Dolls, and a Disco Broccoli Plush.
The “Guardian Pack” will cost $249.99, and comes “packed in a box with gold stamped signatures from the Still Not Bitten team, includes all items from Protector Edition, plus Clementine & Lee figurines, and a Clementine Art print from comic book artists Eric.”
Lastly, the “Signature Pack,” which comes in at a whopping $349.99, will be “packed in a signature stamped box, includes hand-signed art print from the Still Not Bitten team, voiceover artists and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. Also includes all items from the Guardian Edition.” There will only be 100 of these highest tier models made.
Telltale’s The Walking Dead recently completed its final season with a bit of a lackluster episode. In my review, I wrote that “I did enjoy Telltale’s The Walking Dead a bit, but I’ve enjoyed playing through other seasons a lot more. It’s worth playing if you’ve already invested the time into the other three seasons, but if you haven’t touched the series yet, it might be best to leave this zombie tale in the graveyard.”
