The Teen Wolf season 6 premiere aired on Tuesday night, and it already kicked the series into high gear. Watch a trailer for the rest of the final season.
The super tease for Teen Wolf season 6 aired during the premiere of MTV’s new show Sweet/Vicious, but it’s also online thanks to E!. Check it out below:
This trailer gives us plenty of new footage, so let’s take some time to break it down.
First up we see Deaton talking about the Wild Hunt and how the Ghost Riders take people and erase them from existence. We get shots of a scared looking Corey and a pissed off looking Parrish in his Hellhound form.
Lydia realizes that the Ghost Riders might be good at making people forget their friends, but something is always left behind. Thank God for Roscoe! The pack is now trying to hunt down relics of Stiles’ existence in the hopes that it’ll help bring him back.
Wherever Stiles is now, he’s met up with Peter, who’s given up any hope of being rescued. Stiles, though, is certain that someone will remember him.
We also get a pretty solid look at the hot new teacher, Mr. Douglas, and the trailer definitely doesn’t worry about spoiling who he really is — the Nazi Alpha who escaped from the tank at the end of season 5. He looks pretty terrifying, actually, and seems to be stronger than your average werewolf.
One moment we’re celebrating the return of Chris Argent, and the next we’re seeing Mason being dragged off by a Ghost Rider with a whip around his neck. It seems as though Liam could also be another victim, if he is indeed the one being carried off the lacrosse field by a Rider.
“He’s afraid of you,” Corey tells Lydia. “I’m afraid of me,” she replied. That’s a fair sentiment on both accounts, and certainly an intriguing one. Are the Riders afraid of Lydia’s abilities because she can harm them, or are they afraid of her powers because they will allow her to rescue the people who are lost?
We also see Lydia passing her hand through a mirror, and I have to wonder if this is related to her Banshee powers or because there happens to be a portal in the school bathroom. Honestly, either scenario is plausible, and both possibilities are pretty exciting to see. Is Stiles on the other side of that mirror, or is Lydia looking for something else?
For better or worse, Theo is also back, though it looks like Hell didn’t teach him any manners. Sheriff Stilinski is more than a little upset with him, but Theo always has that easy smile on his face. I hope his return means he’ll be willing to change his ways. He is an interesting character, albeit a horrible person.
The trailer is full of action and fur flying (metaphorically speaking), but the end does offer us some hope — Scott is going to protect everyone from the Ghost Riders. I have faith. Do you?
