Other Werewolves
The Alpha Pack isn’t the only group of werewolves coming to Beacon Hills this year. We’ve got a few others that will be making appearances. Some will play an important part in season 3, and others will mainly just be revealed in flashbacks.
Cora, played by Adelaide Kane
Cora is a 17-year-old girl that has been on her own for a long time. She is a werewolf, but there’s no telling if she’s an omega, a beta, or an alpha herself. She’s got quite a mysterious past, and she has been described as having a secret tie to the werewolves.
While we still don’t know what this secret tie is for sure, many fans are speculating it could be related to Derek. Indeed, in one of the sneak peeks, we see Derek and Cora in his new apartment looking like they’re getting ready to spar. Kali and Ennis make quite an entrance, and while Cora tries her best to attack Ennis, he quickly knocks her off her feet.
Talia Hale, played by Alicia Coppola
Talia is Derek’s mother. She was a strong and decisive female Alpha, both beautiful and dangerous. Presumably, she was killed in the Hale house fire that Kate set six years prior to season 1, along with the rest of Derek’s family, aside from Laura and Peter.
Talia will be showing up in episode 8 during the flashback that will be portraying Derek as a young teenager, around the age of 16. Rumors have it that she might be back as a recurring character, but we’re not sure if that means there will be more flashbacks or if she did indeed survive the fire.
Laura Hale, played by Ana Walczak
Although Laura, Derek’s sister, has been mentioned many times before, and has even been featured for a few seconds here and there, this will be the first time we’ll be getting a good look at her.
Walczak will be playing a younger Laura, and she will be debuting in episode 8, alongside her mother, in a flashback. She is older than Derek and is both beautiful and strong, like Talia. Laura became an Alpha when her family died in the fire, but was then murdered prior to season 1 by her uncle, Peter. Just like Coppola, there’s a possibility that Walczak could become a series regular, though we still don’t know how.
